Proud Sponsor of the Franklin Nutcracker

Alan Robinson Painting's full-page Franklin Nutcracker program ad, with the Robinson family on their porch and six painted rooms

There is a particular kind of quiet that settles over a theater right before the overture, when the house lights go down and a few hundred children stop fidgeting at once. We’ll be in that audience this December, and this year our name is in the program too: Alan Robinson Painting is a sponsor of the Franklin Nutcracker, presented by the Fellowship School of Creative Arts.

The performances are Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13, 2026, at 2:00 and 6:30 each day, at the Franklin Special District Performing Arts Center on Excellence Way. The dancers are students, which is the whole point: months of rehearsal by young people who have decided that doing something beautifully is worth the work. We recognize that, because it’s the same thing we ask of ourselves in a dining room in Brentwood or a kitchen in Bellevue, just with brushes instead of pointe shoes.

Our family has lived and worked in this part of Tennessee since 2007, and most of what we love about it comes down to the people who build things for everyone else: the parents who sew costumes, the teachers who run the rehearsals, the volunteers at the door. Sponsoring the Nutcracker is a small way of saying thank you to them, alongside our support for Heart of Mary House and our membership in the Catholic Business League.

Tickets are on the Fellowship School of Creative Arts site. If you go, find our page in the program; the family on the porch is us.
