Part of the OCS Family: Sponsoring the Overbrook Classic
Three of our children, Becket, Jude and Liam, are students at Overbrook Catholic School, so when the Overbrook Classic comes around in December we’re not sponsors first. We’re parents in the bleachers, like everyone else, and this year we’re also glad to put our name behind the tournament.
The Classic has been running since 1984, and over more than forty years it has grown into a week of boys’ and girls’ basketball for third- through sixth-graders from public, private and parochial schools across Middle Tennessee. More than 25 teams play in the gyms at Overbrook and St. Cecilia Academy on Harding Pike, and more than three thousand students, families and coaches come through over the week of December 7–12, 2026. Every one of them is helping the school at the same time, because the tournament is also a fundraiser for Overbrook.
What we value about Overbrook is hard to put on a sponsorship banner: the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia, the teachers, and a school that takes forming character as seriously as teaching long division. Our family has been part of that community for years, and our business has been part of Nashville since 2007, so sponsoring the Classic was an easy yes.
If your child’s team is playing, we’ll see you there. And if you’ve never heard a gym full of fourth-graders during a close game, the Classic is a good week to find out.
